Elizabeth is an APT and EMDRIA Approved Trainer and Consultant specializing in childhood trauma, attachment, and complex developmental trauma. She is dedicated to advancing clinically grounded, developmentally responsive trauma treatment through Play Therapy and EMDR consultation and training. Elizabeth is the founder of Apollos Center for Training and Supervision, where she provides advanced training and consultation to clinicians seeking to strengthen their competency with complex trauma cases. Her teaching emphasizes fidelity to EMDR protocols while integrating attachment-based, experiential, and play therapy interventions. She also leads Happy Camper Child and Family Therapy, a group practice that provides trauma-focused services to children and families while offering emerging clinicians hands-on opportunities to develop clinical confidence and depth in trauma treatment. Elizabeth is spearheading the development of Nature-Based EMDR protocols and Family EMDR Resourcing models, integrating neuroscience, attachment theory, and experiential work in natural environments. These innovative approaches are being implemented through Happy Camper Child and Family Therapy to expand access to embodied, relational, and nature-integrated healing experiences. Previously, she converted a Sprinter van into a Mobile Play Therapy Office, bringing EMDR and Play Therapy directly into homes and schools for medically fragile and traumatized children across the Houston area. Outside of her clinical and training work, Elizabeth is a mother of eight through birth and adoption and finds restoration and inspiration in nature. Whether facilitating therapy sessions, leading workshops, or walking trails for personal renewal, she is deeply connected to the healing power of relationships and the natural world.
